We get a few questions here and there, so we thought we would put together a page to help communicate what we do and offer at Raider Mecca.

Q. What is RaiderMecca?
A. RaiderMecca is a weekend filled with both major events and informal get-togethers, culminating in the Oakland Raiders home opener. Raider fans from around the world gather for RaiderMecca in Oakland, and the event is put together by dozens of volunteers, in conjunction with the Oakland Raiders and the O.Co Coliseum.
Q. How long has this been going on?
A. RaiderMecca is celebrating its 15th year of connecting Raider fans with each other and with the greatness that is the Oakland Raiders.This is the real deal. Accept no substitutes!
Q. Why the volunteers?
A. RaiderMecca is a pretty large undertaking, and not a business! It is a completely not-for-profit event. All of those who volunteer are die hard Raider fans who pay to come out for the event and then donate portions of their time to help put this thing on. This party could not happen without all those who contribute, period. They are so very much appreciated!
Q. When does RaiderMecca XV start?
A. RaiderMecca XV festivities start as early as Friday, Sept 7th at the base hotel.
Q. What are the events?
A. The following is a basic itinerary - to be superseded by the official itinerary a week before the event:
***ALL TIMES AND EVENTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE ***
o Friday afternoon and evening - "Early Check-in" at the base hotel. You show your identification and get your RaiderMecca ID tags, lanyards, event itinerary, etc. provided to you.
o Friday evening - An informal "Meet and Greet" at the base hotel lobby, bar, parking lot, etc.
o Saturday morning - Check-in begins at 10am and concludes around 3pm.
o Saturday afternoon - Volunteers meeting and Legends Party Planning Meeting.
o Saturday evening - The "Party with the Legends" at the Oakland Coliseum East Side Club. It will feature several Oakland Raiders Legends, games, music and a pirate's bounty of winnable items.
o Sunday morning around 9am - The Worldwide Fans in Black Booster Club Annual Meeting at the base hotel meeting room.
o Sunday morning around 11:30am - We gather outside the base hotel with cars or to ride the buses to Raiders Headquarters.
o Sunday afternoon - The RaiderMecca roster is checked and those who are qualified will participate in the Oakland Raiders private headquarters' tour.
o Sunday at approx. 3pm - We all gather in front of Raiders headquarters for a group photo.
o Sunday afternoon and evening - we will be potentially setting up a BBQ and Game broadcast - details to be determined.
o Monday early afternoon - We setup and participate in the greatest private tailgate party at the stadium, and in a private area provided by the Oakland Raiders Organization.
o Monday Night Football!
Q. How much does RaiderMecca cost?
A. The cost of RaiderMecca depends on which events you sign up for and what options (if any) you opt for. Prices and options will be announced via email to those who have pre-registered.
Q. How do I make sure I get ongoing information?
A. You need to pre-register for RaiderMecca per the instructions below. Once you have pre-registered, you will get 1st notification when tickets go on sale, hotel discounts are announced, RaiderMecca tickets go on sale, and much more.
Q. What is the "Base Hotel"?
A. The base hotel is the hotel picked to centralize most of the RaiderMecca functions. It is not yet finalized, but those pre-registered will be emailed with the group discount information as soon as it has been decided.
Q. Will there be help in securing game tickets?
A. The Oakland Raiders have already reserved a special section in the stadium for Mecca goers on game day. Those tickets will be available on a website setup by the Raiders especially for RaiderMecca. Only those who have pre-registered for RaiderMecca will be given the website information.
Q. How do I get pre-registered?
A. Please follow the steps below to pre-register:
(1) If you are already registered at the fans in black booster club,
go to step (3)
(2) If you are not already registered, sign up (IT'S FREE) or become a member- (nominal yearly dues). CLICK HERE to go and register.
(3)Make sure you are logged into FansinBlack.com with your user name and password
(4) Once logged in, CLICK HERE to pre-register!
